The Placencia Lobster Festival is one of Belize’s most beloved annual celebrations, held each June in the charming seaside village of Placencia on the southern coast. This three-day festival marks the opening of lobster season and brings together locals, expats, and visitors from around the world for a weekend of fresh seafood, live music, beach parties, and cultural festivities.

Placencia — a narrow peninsula jutting into the Caribbean Sea — is known for its laid-back atmosphere, world-class snorkeling and diving, and proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef. The village has been described as having “the narrowest main street in the world” and offers a uniquely authentic Caribbean experience away from mass tourism.
