Information you provide
Account registration and profile features collect the information entered in their forms, including account identifiers and contact details. Contact and business application forms collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, business name, business location, services, website, phone number, and business description.
Vendor recommendations and travel experience submissions may include descriptions, location information, photos, videos, links, and attribution to your member account. We use these submissions to review recommendations, prepare listings or stories, and respond to you. Business applications are reviewed separately from traveler recommendations.
Public content and member information
Approved business listings, stories, and reviews may be visible to website visitors. Submitted media may appear with reviewed listings or stories. Member profile access is restricted by the site’s current account and permission settings. Avoid including information in a submission that you do not want displayed publicly, and upload only media you have permission to share. Photos may contain embedded location information; remove it before uploading if you do not wish to disclose it.
Cookies, local storage, and third-party content
The website uses cookies for login and session features. The currency calculator saves the selected currency pair and cached reference rates in your browser’s local storage. It retrieves reference rates from Exchange Rate API; conversion amounts are calculated in your browser and are not sent to that rate provider by the calculator.
Pages may include third-party services or embedded content, including Google reCAPTCHA and embedded media. Those providers may receive connection information and handle data under their own policies.
How information is used and shared
Information submitted through the website is used to operate accounts, review contributions and business applications, communicate about submissions, and maintain the site. Administrators can access information needed to perform these tasks. Business applications submitted through the current onboarding form are delivered using the site’s email notification system.
